The Egyptian Federation for Development and Social Protection Policies in cooperation with 121 Human rights and Civil society networks and organizations Condemn the US sanctions, considering them complicity in the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people

The Egyptian Federation for Development and Social Protection Policies and the undersigned civil society organization condemn the decision by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to impose sanctions on three Palestinian human rights organizations: Al-Haq, Al Mezan, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights.
The Federation and the undersigned organizations consider this decision a serious violation of the United States’ obligations under international law and a move that provides cover for the genocide and war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
In addition, they affirm that targeting human rights organizations for their role in documenting violations and holding perpetrators accountable constitutes a systematic undermining of international justice, and makes the U.S. administration a direct partner in obstructing accountability mechanisms.
The undersigned organization lcall on the international community and relevant UN bodies to intervene urgently to protect human rights defenders and ensure the accountability of war criminals on violations of international laws and norms, and the commission of the most serious international crimes, especially war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and other crimes prohibited by international law.
They also appeal to the peoples of the world to intensify their solidarity efforts with the Palestinian people as they continue their struggle against the occupation for their inalienable, legitimate, and just rights, and to ensure that war criminals do not escape punishment.
